About WJ Dance

Welcome to WJ Dance! We are the most prominent K-pop dance studio in the Washington DC area, specializing in K-pop, Chinese fusion dance, Jazz, Hip-hop, and more. From experienced professional dancers with impressive careers to some of the most sought-after choreographers in the industry, our teachers are made up of the best the dance world has to offer.

K-POP

Our Kpop dance classes are inspired by your favorite idols and groups. From trending choreography to iconic routines, each class focuses on performance, synchronization, and capturing the energy of the Kpop stage.

JAZZ FUNK

Introduction:

Jazz Funk, is a vibrant blend of jazz technique and street dance styles. With a focus on musicality, dynamics, and attitude, this class helps dancers develop both technique and performance presence. Expect stylized movement, powerful grooves, and choreography that’s bold, sharp, and expressive.

Introduction:

This class introduces dancers to the foundations of contemporary dance through expressive movement, fluid transitions, and body awareness. Students will explore floor work, release techniques, balance, and emotional storytelling through motion. The focus is on connecting breath with movement, developing control and freedom, and discovering personal expression within choreography.

HIP-HOP

Introduction:

Hip Hop dance is rooted in culture, rhythm, and self-expression. These classes explore a wide range of hip hop styles — from grooves and freestyle to choreography and performance. You'll build coordination, confidence, and a deeper appreciation for the history and foundation of street dance.

Our Open Style Choreo class helps you build your dance skills in different styles, from hip-hop to contemporary.
